Starpower Showcases Sony’s 115-Inch BRAVIA 9 II True RGB TV At Dallas Event

By Christopher LaSanta | Contributor

Luxury home entertainment retailer Starpower, a Dallas-based leader in audio/video, was recently chosen by Sony to host the premiere launch event of their new 115-inch BRAVIA 9 II True RGB TV, giving customers and custom integration professionals one of the first opportunities in the U.S. to experience the company’s latest flagship display technology.

The event centered on Sony’s new True RGB LED architecture, which uses independently controlled red, green, and blue LEDs designed to deliver improved color volume, brightness, and contrast compared to conventional LED displays. Sony positions the technology as combining OLED-like color performance with the high brightness advantages of Mini LED.

For Starpower, the event also highlighted a growing trend in premium home entertainment: consumers are increasingly considering ultra-large direct-view televisions as an alternative to traditional projection systems.

“The conversation isn’t simply about buying a bigger TV anymore,” said David Pidgeon, CEO and President of Starpower. “At 115 inches, homeowners are thinking about the entire entertainment experience—from seating and lighting to audio and control.”

While dedicated projection systems continue to serve purpose-built home theaters, large-format displays like the BRAVIA 9 II are finding a place in media rooms, open-concept living spaces, and sports-viewing environments where ambient light and everyday usability are priorities.

During the event, attendees were able to evaluate the display’s brightness, off-axis viewing performance, motion handling, and HDR capabilities in a real-world showroom setting while discussing complete system design with Sony experts and Starpower’s integration team.

The demonstration reflects continued momentum in the premium TV category, where manufacturers are competing not only on-screen size but also on advances in display technology. As televisions exceed the 100-inch mark, retailers and custom integrators are increasingly positioning them as part of a complete entertainment ecosystem that includes premium audio, networking, lighting control, and smart home integration.

Sony’s 115-inch BRAVIA 9 II True RGB TV is now available through authorized Sony dealers, including Starpower.
