‘TIL MIDNIGHT AT THE NASHER
WHEN: Every Third Friday of the Month
WHAT:’til Midnight at the Nasher presents live outdoor concerts in the Nasher Sculpture Center garden. At each event, a variety of national and regional musical talent perform followed by film screenings. Guests have the opportunity to visit the Nasher for free, taking in the museum’s renowned collection of modern and contemporary art as well as contemporary exhibitions by some of the most important artists working today.

SEASONAL FAVORITES AT LEGACY WEST
WHEN: Nov 23rd – Dec 31st
WHAT: Legacy West is pleased to announce Seasonal Favorites, a special holiday event series featuring dazzling light displays, festive music, choreographed fountain shows, specialty drinks and bites, exclusive shopping deals, social media contests, and more.  Seasonal Favorites kicks off on Friday, November 23, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. when Plano Mayor Harry LaRosiliere and his family will join Kellie Rasberry of the Kidd Kraddick Morning Show in a ceremonial illumination of the center.  Seasonal Favorites also launches a new partnership with North Texas Food Bank. Designated drop-off locations will be set up throughout the center during the holiday season for guests to drop off canned food items.

DICKENS IN HISTORIC DOWNTOWN PLANO
WHEN: Nov 30th
WHAT: Dickens is a FREE annual event produced by the City of Plano. Nestled in the heart of the Downtown Plano Arts District, Dickens is the holiday event of the year! Live entertainment, delicious food, a variety of attractions, and a visit from Santa allow for everyone in the family to have something to enjoy.

DEERFIELD HOLIDAY LIGHTS
WHEN: Dec 1-30th
WHAT: Deerfield is located in Northwest Plano between Preston Rd. and Coit Rd. Enter from Legacy on Colonnade or Archgate. Watch all signs, drive carefully and enjoy the holiday lights!  They are usually on between the hours of 7pm-10pm during the entire month of December.

2018 JINGLE BELL RUN
WHEN: Dec 2nd

CHRISTMAS IN THE LAND OF OZ
WHEN: Dec 6th
WHAT: The Wicked Witch of the West becomes the grinch of this delightful holiday play when she steals Christmas from Munchkinland. It takes all your Oz favorites — Dorothy and Toto, Scarecrow, Tin Man, the Lion, and the Munchkins to bring the yuletide holiday back. In the process, the Tin Man recovers his sense of humor, the lonely Lion finds a lady companion, and Dorothy finds the spirit of Christmas to take back to Kansas for Auntie Em and Uncle Henry.

SCROOGE! THE MUSICAL
WHEN: Dec 7th
WHAT: Ebeneezer Scrooge has spent all his life accruing gold and allowing all his loved ones to slip through his hands. On Christmas Eve 1843, Scrooge is given the gift of one more chance to redeem himself for mankind and for his soul. The musical adaptation of A Christmas Carol reminds us to love one another and to hold each other close!

LIONS CHRISTMAS PARADE
WHEN: Dec 8th
WHAT: Mark your calendar and save the date for the 2018 holiday parade!  Plan to come early to get a spot. Festive floats, flags, firetrucks, clowns, Santa and more!  Every Plano high school marching band, drill team, cheer squad and JROTC will participate, as well as Boy and Girl Scouts, YMCA Guides/Princesses, church groups and more!   Parade starts in the parking lot of the Plano ISD Administration building. It will travel west on 15th Street then north on Independence, east on Parkhaven and ends at the Plano Senior High School.

LANTERN LIGHT AT HERITAGE FARMSTEAD
WHEN: Dec 8th
WHAT: The Heritage Farmstead Museum welcomes visitors every year to enjoy the 4 acre historic sight decorated in Holiday style. The twinkle of lights and the glow of over 75 kerosene lanterns make this location explode with historic holiday magic. This year our guests will enjoy sledding in the North Meadow on the Farmstead snow hill. There will be tours of the Historic Victorian home throughout the event, storytelling, the unique Magic Lantern Show, wagon rides, children’s crafts in the one room school house, choirs in the Pole barn, photos with Santa Claus and so much more.

HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS CONCERT
WHEN: Dec 16th
WHAT: Plano Symphony Orchestra presents “Home for the Holidays” at St. Andrew United Methodist Church with two shows on December 16th.With over 300 musicians, “Home for the Holidays” includes seasonal favorites for orchestra and chorus, the popular audience sing-along, visitors from the North Pole, humor, and surprises. The 2018 performances feature The Vocal Majority, winners of 13 International Chorus Championships.
