Social media influencers have thrown “Tren” into the spotlight. This has caused an uptick in the number of students who have been asking us about the safety and efficacy of “Tren”, aka Trenbolone. Students are hearing more and more about this very powerful anabolic steroid as they scroll through social media platforms. Some are receiving dangerous misinformation. We want to address this topic to provide young people and adult influencers with the truths they need.
First and foremost, the drug Trenbolone is not approved for use in humans. We interviewed Dr. Matthew Fedoruk with the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) to share with us his knowledge about this powerful drug.

What is Trenbolone?Trenbolone is a powerful synthetic anabolic steroid derived from nandrolone, a synthetic version of the hormone testosterone. Originally developed for veterinary use to promote livestock growth and help increase their appetite, it has found its way into the fitness world due to its reputation for rapid muscle gain and enhanced performance. While some people might think that Trenbolone is a shortcut to achieving physical goals, it is essential to be aware of its potential dangers. Below are the most common health risks of Trenbolone use.
HypertensionElevated blood pressure is a common side effect, posing a threat to heart health.
Aggression and IrritabilityTrenbolone has been associated with mood swings, irritability, and heightened aggression, often referred to as “roid rage”.
Endocrine DisruptionTrenbolone can interfere with the body’s natural hormone production, leading to hormonal imbalances and potential long-term consequences.
HepatotoxicityProlonged use of Trenbolone may strain the liver, leading to potential liver damage.
Psychological DependenceThe desire for continued physical enhancement may lead to psychological dependency on the substance, fostering an unhealthy relationship with one’s body.
When it comes to answering the question from students is “Tren” safe, the answer is unequivocally “NO”.
