Giving is Good Stuff

Help us stuff a bus!

Donate to those in need and join DART Friday, Dec. 6, from 6 a.m.-5 p.m. at SMU/Mockingbird Station for its annual Stuff a Bus event.

Stuff A Bus is a DART employee initiative that benefits North Texas families and individuals in need. The event compliments two separate DART employee-sponsored drives – Santa Cops and Comforting of the Souls. Each year, DART Police and operators ask the public to help them fill a bus full of donations.

They’ll be at the event accepting new adult socks, blankets, canned foods and unwrapped toys. The socks and blankets go to area nursing homes, while toys and food help families in need. The officers find these families throughout the year while they’re out in the community. They distribute the gifts personally.

While you’re out shopping, take time to help your fellow North Texans who may struggle to buy the items themselves.

Just look for the 40-foot long DART Stuff-A-Bus in the parking lot of SMU/Mockingbird Station. K104 will be broadcasting live from the event until 10 a.m., and DART employees will be there all day. The station is served by the Red, Blue and Orange lines, as well as numerous bus routes. There’s also plentiful parking; the station is located at 5465 E. Mockingbird Lane, just east of the intersection with North Central Expressway.

We hope to see you there!
