My favorite time of year for reading is here! There is NOTHING better than this crop of novels, which are simply perfect for pool or beach! Add these sizzling books to your summer reading list.
Fabulous Fiction
The incomparable Jennifer Weiner has a new novel, Mrs. Everything and it is EVERYTHING you want in a novel. Jane Green’s newest, The Friends We Keep, is SO good. Jamie Brenner’s newest, Drawing Home, is her best yet. The Bride Test by Helen Hoang is HOT like the weather! To me, it is not summer until the new Elin Hilderbrand comes out. She again delights with Summer of ’69. Mary Kay Andrews, the Queen of Summer Books, hits it out of the park yet again with Sunset Beach.
For the Thriller Lovers
I read both of these books literally in one-sitting. Dear Wife by Kimberly Belle is simply compelling with an OMG ending. Kaira Rouda again delivers a wickedly perfect thriller with The Favorite Daughter.
For the Historical Fiction Crowd
Lauren Willig’s The Summer Country takes us to a sugar plantation in 1950’s Barbados. Resistance Women by Jennifer Chiaverini is the story of the women’s resistance in 1930’s Berlin.
