Sunday, March 6th is National Oreo Cookie Day! TheSoul Publishing and 5-Minute Crafts – is celebrating by sharing some delicious Oreo-inspired recipes. Their YouTube channel, 5-Minute Recipes, has several recipes to choose from, all perfect for celebrating milk’s favorite cookie!
Oreo Cookie Owl Cupcakes: Turn a basic chocolate cupcake into a fun one with this cute Oreo owl design. Simply top a chocolate cupcake with chocolate frosting, split an Oreo cookie in half with the cream side facing up, and stick onto frosting. Add a drop of chocolate frosting to the Oreo cream and stick on two M&M’s. Add a third M&M as a nose and done!
Mini Oreo Cheesecake: Line Oreo cookies up on a baking pan, soak with egg, crush with a rolling pin or another pan on top and scoop up mixture. Drop the mixture into a cupcake tray filled with cupcake liners. Pack the Oreo cookie mixture to the bottom of the liner, top with cream cheese, and bake. Once cooled, top with sprinkles or any garnish of your choosing and enjoy!
Easy Oreo Cake Pops: Crush a bag of Oreos and combine with cream cheese. Roll into balls and insert a toothpick; then, dip into melted white chocolate and freeze. Yum!
