Chef Kenny Bowers, the brilliant mind behind Kenny’s Wood Fired Grill and Kenny’s Italian Kitchen in Addison, and Kenny’s Smoke House in Frisco, takes burgers to a whole other level with Kenny’s Burger Joint in Frisco and his newest location in Plano (Preston and Spring Creek).
Half-pound burgers are handmade using the finest quality beef and cooked over hickory on their all-natural, wood-burning grill. Buns are baked daily at La Spiga Bakery in Addison and toppings include the best cheeses available from areas like Vermont and Wisconsin and thick-cut smoked bacon from Wright Brand in Fort Worth.
It’s a full-on burger feast so you better come hungry. Try the ‘Mushroom Brie’ burger or the ‘Black & Blue’, a Cajun spiced version topped with blue cheese, or spice it up with ‘Bud’s Queso’ topped with bacon, onions and jalapeños.
Sure, there is plenty of lighter fare available – an assortment of salads including Greek, Asian or The Wedge and topped with your choice of fresh Ahi tuna or grilled chicken. And the Tuna Steak Sandwich is perfectly prepared with Cajun spices and wasabi.
“We created this restaurant to be reminiscent of the way things used to be,” says Bowers, adding that his mission is to make every dining experience like a holiday. “We make it our policy to have no policy. If there is absolutely anything we can do to make your experience more enjoyable, we want to know.”
A full-service bar includes Grey Goose on Tap (it’s true!) and a reasonably priced wine list.
