Texas Rangers Fan Fest 2018

WHEN: January 20, 2018

WHAT: Get ready for a new season of Texas Rangers baseball at the 2018 Fan Fest. Get autographs from former and future players, tour the club house and meet the coaches. Fans of all ages can take a turn running the bases, snap a selfie from the Rangers dugout and take a swing in the batting cage. There will be a Kids Zone, a home run derby and more. Admission prices are $10 for adults, $5 for children 13 and younger.

Frost Fest at Cimarron Park in Irving

WHEN: January 27, 2018

WHAT: Frost Fest is a free winter festival offering an opportunity to indulge in several fun winter activities, including a petting zoo with reindeer display, snow tubing hill (42″ and taller), snow play area with fresh snow every 30 minutes, a giant inflatable maze and toboggan tunnel slide, skating on the festival rink (ice skates provided) and an ice sculpture demonstrations by Chef Pete.

Travel to the Tropics Family Festival

WHEN: January 27, 2018

WHAT: Crafts for the kids and close-up encounters with butterflies are part of this family festival that explores the countries our winged friends come from. Activities are included with price of admission to the Gardens – $8 for adults / $6 for ages 60+ / $4 ages 3-11 / free for children 2 and younger.

Lunar New Year Festival at Asia Times Square in Grand Prai

WHEN: February 18, 2018

WHAT: Celebrate the Year of the Dog at this fest that is spread over 2 weekends. All are welcome to share and observe the Southeast Asian cultures and traditions with nightly concerts, daytime cultural performances, food vendors, fresh flower market, kids zone, firecrackers and more. This year’s special guest is Kechi Okwuchi, finalist on America’s Got Talent, who will perform during the opening ceremony on Feb. 9. Admission and parking are free.
