The Plano Mayor’s Summer Internship Program provided 119 outstanding Plano ISD high school students with paid positions at the city’s most desired companies and nonprofits. Celebrating six years, Plano Mayor Harry LaRosiliere honored the interns, teacher externs, employers and donors at a luncheon where Dallas Mavericks CEO Cynthia “Cynt” Marshall delivered a fascinating keynote address. She shared the wisdom gained during her exhilarating career leading diversity and inclusion programs at AT&T and with the Dallas Mavericks. “The program instills invaluable lessons in our youth,” said Mayor LaRosiliere. The eight-week program, which ran June 10 through August 2, gives rising juniors and seniors the opportunity to work 20- to 40-hour weeks.
