The 5th Annual All-Star Gala, A Walk Through Wine Country benefiting the Taylor Hooton Foundation (THF) was held at the stunning Starpower showroom in North Dallas. Over 200 guests enjoyed chef stations featuring Mexican Bar Company, Macklin’s Catering Co., Magdalena’s, Momma Nonni Cooks, Rush Patisserie, The Capital Grille Plano, and Whiskey Cake Kitchen & Bar. Guests each received tasting glasses that were personalized & hand engraved by Ken Brown Engraving to enjoy fabulous wine selections from Boisset Collection, Buon Vino, Hailstone Vineyards, and Scout & Cellar. An exciting live auction took place featuring items such as once in a lifetime Breakfast at Tiffany’s and Shark Tank experiences. The event was sponsored by BWA, First Choice Loan Services Inc., Cindy & Pat Fox, Good Life Family Magazine, Pam & Vic Murray, Starpower, and Lynda & Mark Thompson.
Over $130,000 was raised to support THF which was formed in memory of Taylor E. Hooton, a 17-year-old high school athlete from Plano who took his own life on July 15, 2003 after using anabolic steroids. To date, the THF has reached over 2 million people directly with the potentially lifesaving message of the truths about Appearance and Performance Enhancing Substances across the U.S., Canada, and Latin America. taylorhooton.org
