Emceed by Matrice Ellis Kirk, the luncheon welcomed close to 800 supporters support Stewpot and to hear Regina Calcaterra, author of #1 International Bestseller and New York Times Bestseller Etched in Sand, share her story on overcoming a childhood characterized by poverty, abuse, and homelessness. Co-chairs were Lindsay Billingsley and Jill Tiernan.
Proceeds from the event benefited The Stewpot, which for over 40 years has provided meals, medical and dental services, counseling and case management, youth and family stabilization programs, as well as therapeutic and vocational activities to Dallas community members experiencing extreme poverty and homelessness.
