No, its not Willy Wonkas Chocolate Factory or Santas Village, its the 12th annual Cookies & Castles event hosted by the Dallas Alumnae Chapter of Tri Delta benefiting Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children. This years Co-Chairs Laurel Looney and Katie Broussard are promising the gingerbread event will be one to remember.The two-day event includes a Ladies Luncheon on December 13th, emceed by Channel 5s Katy Blakey, followed by Family Day on December 14th with two seatings at 10am and 2pm, where familiesandchildrenenjoydecoratingbeautifulgingerbread castles in a fun-filled, candy wonderland with over 5000 pounds of sweet treats and a special visit from Santa. After each event the masterpiece is packaged to take home and enjoy for the holidays. For over a decade, Dallas Tri Delta Alumnae has had so much fun hosting this event benefiting the Prosthetics department at Scottish Rite Hospital. We are committed to helping fulfill the hospitals mission of giving children back their normal childhood, explained Broussard. Scottish Rite is one of the nation\'s leading pediatriccentersforthetreatmentoforthopedicconditions, sports injuries, and fractures, as well as certain related arthritic and neurological disorders, such as dyslexia.
