This organization sup- ports numerous initiatives including the construction of the Texas Rangers MLB Youth Academy at the Mercy Streets Sports Complex in West Dallas. Once complete, this facility will pro- vide a safe place for area children to play baseball and softball. Furthermore, it will give young people access to academic tu- toring, college prep classes, college and career fairs, financial literacy and internship programs, and MLB industry alternative career workshops. Jim Palmersheim, the Senior Manager of Veterans Initiatives/Military Programs at American Airlines, together with the Air Power Foundation members, welcomed over 150 attendees at Starpower's showroom. This year's Sky Ball is honoring and celebrating the men and women of the United States Special Operation Forces Command.
