The State Fair is back and so is the best way to get there: DART! You’ll spend more time enjoying the fair and less time getting there. From fried food and live music to football games and Midway fun, the State Fair has something for everyone. Skip the parking and bring the fun.
This year on Saturdays, Sundays and Columbus Day/Indigenous Peoples’ Day — DART is modifying Orange Line operations to provide more trains through the Fair Park and downtown Dallas areas. This means the Orange Line will only operate between DFW Airport Station and Buckner Station on those days. Please consult the transfer recommendations below.
Also in 2026, DART is introducing State Fair Flyer service on Saturdays and Sundays. These special buses will offer a convenient one-seat ride from select locations. See below for more details.

To make your ride as smooth as possible, DART recommends buying your passes with the GoPass® app. It’s the most convenient way to pay your fare, particularly if you’re traveling in a large group.
Please note: If you purchase your fare with a GoPass® Tap card, a contactless credit or debit card, or a payment-enabled mobile device, you must use a unique form of contactless payment for each rider. Your contactless card or digital wallet serves as your ticket and proof of payment.

DART makes it easy and affordable to enjoy your day. Just ride the DART Rail Green Line to Fair Park Station, located on Parry Avenue at the entrance to the fairgrounds, or MLK, Jr. Station, located south of R.B. Cullum Blvd. and convenient to the MLK fairground entrance (Gate 6) and Cotton Bowl Stadium.

Please note: No parking is available at SMU/Mockingbird Station, and J.B. Jackson, Jr. Transit Center only offers paid parking during the Fair.
Monday-Friday Transfer Recommendations:
If you’re riding DART Rail or the Trinity Railway Express (TRE) to downtown Dallas, you can transfer easily to the Green Line. From downtown Dallas, board Green Line trains marked “BUCKNER,” “LAWNVIEW” or “FAIR PARK”:
- Southbound Red, Blue and Orange Line passengers transfer to the Green Line at Pearl/Arts District Station.
- Northbound Redand Blue Line passengers transfer to the Green Line at Akard Station.
- Eastbound Orange Line passengers transfer to the Green Line at Bachman Station.
- TRE passengers transfer to the Green Line at Victory Station.
- Orange Line trains will offer extended service to Parker Road Station on weekdays during rush hour
- All rail lines will operate on a 20-minute frequency until 10 p.m. daily.
Saturday, Sunday, and Columbus Day/Indigenous Peoples’ Day Transfer Recommendations:
If you’re riding DART Rail or the Trinity Railway Express (TRE) to downtown Dallas, you have several ways to get to the fairgrounds. From downtown Dallas, board Green Line or Orange Line trains marked “BUCKNER”:
- Southbound Red or Blue Line passengers transfer to the Green or Orange Line at Pearl/Arts District Station.
- Northbound Redand Blue Line passengers transfer to the Green or Orange Line at Akard Station.
- TRE passengers transfer to the Green Line, Orange Line or shuttle bus at Victory Station.
- Blue and RedLines trains will operate their normal weekend schedule.
- DART will offer Green Line and Orange Linetrains to meet expected demand. These additional trains will ensure service through Fair Park every 10 minutes.

- EBJ Union Station: 10:45 p.m.
- Victory Station: 10:51 p.m.
- Last Green Line train to connect to the last TRE train from Victory Station :

Friday
- EBJ Union Station: 12:15 a.m.
- Victory Station: 12:19 a.m.
- Last Green Line train to connect to the last TRE train from Victory Station :
