Rabbi Gerald J. Klein Internship

When it comes to getting exposure to career paths that might interest teens, we know it’s important to start early. Believe it or not, it’s time to start thinking about summer internship opportunities!

Since 2009, Jewish Family Service has provided teens, ages 16 to 18 years old, the opportunity to intern at one of Dallas’ many nonprofit organizations.

The Klein Summer Internship Program is a 180-hour long program that is designed to help participants gain knowledge of nonprofits through the following core competencies: direct service, philanthropy, advocacy, community organizing and social entrepreneurship. Teens will build their own communication and workplace skills and learn from their peers about multiple agencies. The end of the program will culminate with each intern receiving a certificate reflecting their participation and service to the Dallas community and the President’s Volunteer Service Award.

Do you know a sophomore, junior, or senior in high school who would enjoy this opportunity?

Many past participants have become active volunteers and/or donors in this community.

Applications are due March 1, 2020.
