Fast Track to Fun

Whether you’re looking for a place to spend some time with your sweetie or a fun place for an outing with the kids, Lone Star Park is the perfect way to enjoy the day. “We have something for everyone! If you want to spend the day outdoors in shorts and flip flops, you can bring your cooler and blanket and grab a spot on the lawn for an afternoon at the races. Or if you want to dress in your finest suits, dresses, and hats you can reserve a table in our Silks Restaurant or book one of our many private suites on the upper levels. Each offers a perfect view of the racing action. Whatever kind of day you want to have, from casual to the finest of upscale with many options in between,” says Diantha Brazzell, Communications Director.

You can even feel like you’re part of the most prestigious horse races around. Don’t miss out on any of their upcoming events, such as the Lone Star Showcase & Food Truck Festival June 23rd, the Feeder Tournament on June 30th, and the Lone Stars & Stripes Celebration on July 4th and 5th. Put on your best derby hats and join in the action while you sip a mint julep.

What makes Lone Star Park such a perfect destination for all ages is that it’s a great value.  Admission is only $5 for adults and $3 for kids. That makes it a wonderful value for families.  Diantha points out, “At most other sporting events, kids are likely stuck in a seat. Here kids can run around out on the lawn outside right next to the racetrack while parents can watch them and the races.”  It’s an even greater value on Dollar Day. On July 14th fans can enjoy each of the following for just a buck: General Admission, race day program, hot dog, soft drink, popcorn, and domestic and craft beer.

The thoroughbred season only lasts until July 21, so make sure you don’t miss out before the season ends.  You can make the day whatever you want it to be.  According to Diantha, “It’s an a la carte world these days, and we have many options to accommodate whatever kind of day you are looking to have.” And if your horse wins—even better!
