Dallas-Area Chi Omega Alumnae Distribute $556,000 to 13 Local Beneficiaries

The 47th annual Chi Omega Christmas Market proved to be a tremendous success, where it welcomed more than 10,000 shoppers for the annual event, held this year at Dallas Market Hall. As a result, the Dallas-area Chi Omega Alumnae recently distributed $556,000 in critical funding for 13 local beneficiaries including: Ascend Dallas, Behind Every Door Ministries Inc, Bonton Enterprises, Children’s Craniofacial Association, Family Compass, Genesis Women’s Shelter & Support, Make-A-Wish North Texas, Network of Community Ministries, Swan Strings, Texas International Theatrical Arts Society, The Stewpot, Together We Thrive and Young Women’s Preparatory Network.

A cherished tradition since 1978, the Chi Omega Christmas Market has raised more than $11 million for more than 154 local charities. “We were able to fully fund the specific requests of each of our deserving 13 nonprofit organizations and are proud to support causes that positively affect the lives of North Texans,” Erin Fischer, Dallas Chi Omega Alumnae President. “With the support of our community, sponsors, donors, shoppers and merchants, we are able to continue our spirit of giving throughout the holidays and beyond.”

The announcement was made by 2024 Chi Omega Christmas Market Co-Chairs Nancy WoodallDebbie Lang, and Karen Hunt during a check presentation ceremony on January 14, 2025, Make-A-Wish North Texas headquarters in Addison.
