Omni PGA Frisco Resort’s PGA Shop Only Store in the U.S. to Carry Official Ryder Cup Merchandise

When U.S. Ryder Cup captain Zach Johnson announced the remaining members of the U.S. delegation live from the PGA of America in Frisco, all eyes in the sporting world were on him. The next move for savvy golf fans will be to acquire their Ryder Cup gear.

The PGA Shop at the new Monument Realty PGA District is one of the ONLY bricks and mortar store in the United States that will carry the officially licensed merchandise of the Ryder Cup.

Featuring shirts, hats and jackets from such brands as Polo, Peter Millar and Foot Joy, the Ryder Cup line of sportwear is the perfect gift for any golf lover and will be a keepsake for years to come. Prices for the commemorative merchandise start at $34. Each item has limited availability.

This year’s Ryder Cup will be played Sept. 25-Oct. 1, at the Marco Simone Golf & Country Club in Rome, Italy.

The biannual tournament, originally played in 1927, pits the top players from the United States against the top European players. Johnson’s six Captain’s Picks, including Brooks Koepka, Collin Morikawa, Justin Thomas, Rickie Fowler, Jordan Spieth and Sam Burns, join already qualified players, including Scottie Scheffler, Wyndham Clark, Patrick Cantlay, Brian Harman, Max Homa and Xander Schauffele.

PGA Frisco will the “go to” for all things Ryder Cup when the tournament gets underway in a few weeks. In addition to the PGA Shop selling official apparel, the Monument Realty PGA District will host watch parties of the Ryder Cup on Friday – Sunday, Sept. 29 – Oct. 1.. Each morning from September 29 through October 1, the video wall will feature tournament coverage beginning at 6 a.m. Both The Dance Floor and The Swing will also be open early so golfers can perfect their game while watching the pros. Over the coming days, pgafrisco.com will be posting more updates about the watch parties, including exact times, food and drink specials, fan giveaways, and golf contests. Fans can also enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner at Ryder Cup Grille in the Fields Ranch clubhouse, just a short walk across The Dance Floor. This golf-themed restaurant is open for golfers and non-golfers alike seven days a week and features some all-American classics, including hot dogs and nachos, while also serving up some across-the-pond favorites such as fish & chips. Golf-themed cocktails also adorn the menu. Reservations are encouraged.
