Allen Philharmonic Orchestra Presents “East Meets West”

The Allen Philharmonic Orchestra & Symphony Chorus presents a celebration and fusion of Indian and Western culture with its February concert — East Meets West.

Joined by dancers from the Nrityajyoti Dance Academy, who will be choreographed by Rinku Bhattacharya Das, as well as sitar player Amie Maciszewski, tabla player Harshad Kanetkar, vocal soloists Rupasri Shankar and Anjali Prabhala, and flute player Rajesh Prasanna, the Allen Philharmonic will bring the community a night of music that will seamlessly meld performances from the traditions of Indian with Western classical and popular music.
