In celebration of the 25th anniversary of the U.S. publication of J.K. Rowling’s first installment of her iconic Harry Potterseries, the Allen Philharmonic Orchestra & Symphony Chorus presents a magical performance — The Wonderful Wizardry of Harry Potter.
On Saturday, Jan. 14, at 7:30 p.m., the Allen Philharmonic will take the stage at Lowery Auditorium, located at 368 N. Greenville Ave. in Allen, Texas. The evening will feature a family-friendly collection of music designed to celebrate the magic of storytelling, including music from Harry Potter, the Wizard of Oz, Lord of the Rings, and the Chronicles of Narnia, as well as famous classical works such as The Sorcerer’s Apprentice and The Firebird Suite.
“It’s always fun to add a unique performance to our programming, and The Wonderful Wizardry of Harry Potter will be for any fan of the series and genre,” said Allen Philharmonic President Kathy Litinas. “It will be a magical night celebrating one of the most influential pieces of literature that changed the course of movie making and telling a story onscreen.”
