Women’s Auxiliary to Children’s Medical Center Plano Celebrates Seven Years of Giving
The Women’s Auxiliary to Children’s Medical Center Plano is partnering with Neiman Marcus to host the 7th annual Legacy of Love on Thursday, April 4, at 6:30 p.m. at The Omni Hotel at The Star District in Frisco.
This year’s Legacy of Love event is celebrated in conjunction with the 10th anniversary of Children’s Medical Center Plano. Guests can enjoy music by DJ Lucy, activities including a photo booth, fashion sketch artist and luxury raffle items, as well as sampling delicious heavy hors d’oeuvres and drinks – plus desserts from Sprinkles Plano.
Following the reception, guests will be treated to fashions highlighting Neiman Marcus’ current styles for children, women and men. Attendees can stay after the program for more music, food and drinks.
“I am humbled to be serving as the event chair for the 7th annual Legacy of Love event,” said Joa Muns, president of the Plano Women’s Auxiliary. “Working alongside those involved with the Women’s Auxiliary to Children’s Medical Center Plano is an honor and a privilege. Our hope is that we can continue to expand on past success and raise even more funds for Children’s Health℠ than ever before!”
Sonia Azad, WFAA’s health and wellness reporter, and Colleen Coyle, WFAA’s meteorologist, will serve as emcees for the evening. As established broadcast journalists and fashionistas, Ms. Azad and Ms. Coyle will provide commentary on Legacy of Love’s heartwarming initiative and Neiman’s spring collection. This year’s fashion show producers are Marjon Zabihi Henderson of Neiman Marcus and Planet Productions.
“The Women’s Auxiliary to Children’s Medical Center Plano has supported Children’s Health for nearly a decade,” said Brent Christopher, president of Children’s Medical Center Foundation. “Legacy of Love event proceeds have underwritten various projects from the hospital playground to pet therapy to emergency services. The Women’s Auxiliary provides critical funding that directly benefits patients and families. Our community’s generosity fuels this mission to make life better for children.
The Women’s Auxiliary to Children’s Medical Center Plano was formed in 2010 to help meet the needs of Children’s Health Plano, which officially opened its doors in August 2008. Net proceeds from Legacy of Love will go directly to Children’s Medical Center Plano. To date, the Women’s Auxiliary’s Plano Chapter has raised more than $1 million in support of the Children’s Health mission to make life better for children.
Tickets for the event are $150 per ticket. Purchase event tickets and sponsorships at www.LegacyofLoveBenefit.org.
