Internationally renowned Southern Brazilian steakhouse Fogo de Chão recently opened at Legacy West with new menu offerings and an updated dining room layout, including an expansive patio ideal for al fresco dining and just steps from the live music outside Legacy Hall.
The new location sets the mold for future Fogo de Chão locations, and is challenging health enthusiasts to rethink their perspectives of Brazilian steakhouses and be aware of all of the health-conscious offerings they have.
“When people think of the Brazilian steakhouse Fogo de Chão, they tend to think of heavier meals. Contrary to this belief, there are a number of health-conscious, lighter options that Fogo de Chão offers,” explains spokeswoman Lana Baugh.
For example, at Fogo, you can explore the health benefits of the “all you can eat” Market Table and create a plate for under 400-500 calories. The centerpiece of Brazilian eating is a colorful palate of natural, fresh and flavorful ingredients from South America, inspired by the farm tables and open markets of Brazil.
Additionally, Fogo can fit into health plans such as Whole30 or the Paleo Diet with their simple preparation and grilling methods.
Fogo de Chão is also now headquartered in the Legacy West development. Headquartered in Addison for the past 21 years, Fogo de Chão offices made the move north to Plano, where it is now positioned directly above the restaurant allowing for seamless operations. Fogo de Chão has installed a test kitchen in the new offices to focus on food and beverage development.
“We’ve called Addison home since originally coming to the United States in 1997,” said Larry Johnson, Chief Executive Officer of Fogo de Chão. “Now, with more than 50 locations worldwide, we have made the investment to move into a larger space that provides direct access to our restaurant. Legacy West is one of the most unique urban developments in Texas, and keeping true to our roots in Dallas/Fort Worth, is a great fit for our flagship restaurant and headquarters”.
Legacy West’s culinary team is proudly helmed by Head Gaucho Marcos Nascimento. His team of Brazilian-trained gaucho chefs personally butchers all of the meats in-house, roasts them over an open fire, and then carves each piece tableside.
The Fogo de Chão menu is anchored upon a variety of fire-roasted meats expertly prepared and carved tableside by gaucho chefs. Favorites include Ribeye, double-cut Lamb Chops, and house-specialty Picanha, the most prized Brazilian steak. Fogo Plano/Legacy West will be the first location to debut Fogo’s new Churrasco Bar, and will also offer a range of portions and prices to fit guests’ needs, including:
