DART Hosts Annual Health Fair for Older Americans May 11

Valuable health information, free screenings and entertainment are just a few of the reasons to attend the Older Americans Information and Health Fair May 11, 10 a.m.-1 p.m., Centennial Hall in Fair Park. Take DART’s Green Line to Fair Park Station.

This annual event is hosted by Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART), in partnership with the Community Council of Greater Dallas/Dallas Area Agency on Aging, city of Dallas and Dallas Police Department. Media partners include Telemundo 39, The Dallas Morning News and Al Día.

DART Fares and Passes

DART Senior Citizen Annual Pass holders have everything they need to take DART to the fair.

For those who are not annual pass holders, reduced fares are available for senior citizens ages 65 or older (with a valid DART photo ID), non-paratransit certified persons with disabilities (with valid DART photo ID) and Medicare card holders.

With proper identification, you can obtain a DART Senior Citizen Photo ID card at the health fair. There is a $2 fee to cover the cost of the photo.

Enjoy Level Boarding

The center car of every DART Rail vehicle is a low-floor section that offers level boarding with the rail platform. DART’s new buses also have low-floor sections and are equipped with ramps that deploy for level boarding from the curb.
