Ladies in Red

by Amy Levenson Krumholz | Fashion Editor

Fashion has long adored the bold hue that can literally stop traffic. As designer Bill Blass once said, “When in doubt, wear red.” And for centuries, women have done just that.  Red ignites so many emotions, and the women who dare to wear it tend to be extroverted, optimistic, courageous, and confident!

Here are some of my favorite fiery looks to make a chic fashion statement day or night.

Work it

Red says, “look out world, here I come!” Georgianna clocks in a winning presentation in this fabulous outfit, and the pants can go from day to dinner in no time flat.

Red Hot!

Studies show that red ignites energy!  Lyn brings the heat to her workout routine by adding splashes of fiery red.  And this clever outfit is feisty enough to meet friends for lunch after hitting the gym (or not!).

Thomy-Sue is the life of the party in this elegant mixed hue cocktail dress. Add a black blazer and pumps to create a more conservative look.
