WEEKEND COLLEGE OFFERS OPTIONS FOR STUDENTS
FALL REGISTRATION OPENS TO ALL APRIL 24
Do you want to go to college, but don’t feel like you have the time? Weekend College might be the answer.
Weekend College at Collin College offers the flexibility of Friday night, Saturday and Sunday classes for students who cannot attend classes during traditional hours. Students can complete the core curriculum of an associate of arts, an associate of science or an associate of arts in teaching degree with just weekend classes.
No special application is needed for Weekend College. Once a student has applied to and been admitted to Collin College, they may register for Weekend College classes just as they would for traditional weekday classes. Registration for fall Weekend College opens to all on April 24.
The course content is the same as weekday classes and students are held to the same standards. The schedule is the only thing that changes. Classes are offered at Central Park Campus located at 2200 W. University Drive in McKinney; the Preston Ridge Campus at 9700 Wade Blvd. in Frisco; and at the Spring Creek Campus at 2800 E. Spring Creek Pkwy in Plano.
Core and degree-specific classes are offered in:
• Standard weekend format (16 weeks)
• Weekend Express Block (three weekends)
• Weekend Extended Block (seven or eight weekends)
• Weekend Extended Block (10 weeks after census)
• Self-Paced Flex-Entry
• Blended or Hybrid Courses (with weekend meeting times)
Weekend College students may supplement their course work with evening and distance learning classes to complete degree requirements faster.
