Welcome To The Good Life!

Good Life Family magazine has been on my mind for almost a decade. After nearly 30 years of helping clients advertise and promote their businesses, I found that my true calling was in matchmaking — putting people together for their mutual benefit. While I joke that I have no particular talent — I’m not a doctor, designer, jewelry maker, chef — I do have a knack for helping brilliant minds share their gifts with those who could benefit.

My intention with Good Life Family is to connect parents with the information, resources, and professionals they need to help them navigate the challenges of raising good kids — kids who find their own paths to happiness. (I use the word “happiness” intentionally because I believe that financial success or fame does not necessarily yield happiness, and isn’t happiness ultimately what we want for our kids?)

We are parenting in a time when the world is changing faster than we can keep up. We’re also the “sandwich generation” — sandwiched between raising our kids and caring for our aging parents. Therefore, Good Life Family will cover a lot of ground— from when it’s okay to drop off our kids at the mall without adult supervision to driving schools (online or classroom), and from coping with the stress and anxiety of caring for our aging parents to understanding college funds and life insurance.  Good Life Family’s editorial advisory board, special contributors, editors and writers offer advice, wisdom and counsel in the direction of the magazine. Words cannot express how deeply grateful I am for their time and talent.

If you have something to share, please contact me or one of the magazine’s editors. We’re committed to making a difference in the lives of our families, friends and communities. If you have an “aha” moment or feel helped by something you read, I’ll feel that I have achieved my goal of connecting readers with the ideas, information, and people they need to help them guide their children into adulthood and care for their family.

“My family is the wind beneath my wings. Every day I am grateful to them for inspiring me to be a better person and for making me laugh (mostly at myself). I thank them for their patience while I brought Good Life Family to fruition. There were many late carpool pickups, missed lunches and untucked nights. To say I am thankful for your love (and hugs) is an epic understatement. There are not enough emojis in the universe to express my feelings!”
