SONS OF THE FLAG CREATES ENDOWMENT TO ENHANCE BURN CARE AT PARKLAND MEMORIAL HOSPITAL
Sons of the Flag, a non-profit founded by former Navy SEAL Ryan Parrott to support military, first responder, and civilian burn survivors through funding for innovative research, treatment and education, announced today that it has established the Sons of the Flag Endowment for Burn Care Supplies through Parkland Foundation. The purpose of the endowment is to support and enhance burn care at Parkland Health & Hospital System by providing wound kits and supplies for uninsured burn patients. Through the generosity of an anonymous donor, Parkland Foundation is matching the cash donation provided by Sons of the Flag for a total initial value of $25,000.
“This is an exciting opportunity for Sons of the Flag to live out its mission and expand access to critical supplies and treatment for many in our community who cannot afford them,” said Ryan Parrott, founder and President/CEO of Sons of the Flag. “To partner with Parkland Foundation in supporting the Parkland Burn Center through this endowment is an important step in ensuring we are doing everything we can to improve burn care throughout North Texas.”
