Legacy of Love Benefit and Fashion Show
The Women’s Auxiliary to Children’s Medical Center Plano hosted their fourth annual Legacy of Love Benefit and Fashion Show on April 7, 2016 at Mercedes-Benz of Plano. Over 400 guests attended this sold-out benefit that featured spring fashions, along with drinks and bites from eight notable DFW restaurants. The honorary chairs for this year’s red carpet event was former Dallas Cowboy Darren Woodson and his wife, Tiffany. Fashion show emcees included WFAA’s Chief Meteorologist Pete Delkus and former news anchor Rikki Ragland. Net proceeds from the Legacy of Love Benefit and Fashion Show went directly to Children’s Medical Center Plano. Guests’ donations surpassed the night’s goal by raising nearly $200,000, which will be used for patient support, equipment and other program needs, such as pet therapy. Other programs funded by the Women’s Auxiliary include music therapy, Center for Pediatric Eating Disorders, the Children’s Medical Center Research Institute at UT Southwestern and the Pauline Allen Gill Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders.
