Kidney Texas, Inc: The Runway Report
KidneyTexas, Inc. recently held The Runway Report Auction and Cocktail Party as a kickoff to the organization’s Annual Luncheon and Fashion Show, which will be held on September 20 at the Brook Hollow Golf Club.
McKamy Tiner will serve as this year’s luncheon chair. McKamy shared with guests her heartfelt stirring story of need and donation. At age 27, she was one of the youngest kidney donors in the United States when she donated a kidney to a dear friend who was in dire need. Ian Arena, the grateful recipient of McKamy’s kidney, who is a healthy survivor today, joined McKamy in receiving a resounding standing ovation.
Since 1999, the dedicated volunteers at KidneyTexas, Inc. have worked tirelessly with their supporters to raise $3.1 million for local efforts to improve the ability to diagnose and manage kidney disease. Photos by Daniel Driensky
