SWJC CELEBRATES 13 YEARS OF HONORING COMMUNITY HEROES

On September 22, 2022, the Southwest Jewish Congress (SWJC) celebrated its 13-year anniversary by recognizing exceptional women, men and young adults at its Texas Sized Event.  

The evening began with featured speaker Chef Stephan Pyles followed by a buffet dinner and awards program. Co-emcees for the evening were Sylvia Komatsu, KERA/KXT and Chris Lawrence, WFAA-TV.

In addition, the SWJC Building Bridges Grant Initiative awarded ten $2,500 Grants to the following non-profits:

Attitudes and Attire	Bridging the Gap Foundation	Dallas Hearing Foundation	Families to Freedom	Friendship Circle of Dallas
Jewish Family Service	Mosaic Family Services	PediPlace	Restored Hope Ministries	Ronald McDonald House

In 2016, SWJC introduced the 50/50 Donation Program to help build bridges throughout the community. Honorees are asked to designate a local charity of their choice to receive donations raised on the night of the event. Since the start of this program, over $15,000 has been shared with numerous local non-profits.
